Glass River Stone Ship-Cloth Bound Book Description: The custom was to paint the stone, now it's time for the painting. The sculptor had absolute confidence in the paints he used. He knew that they would last for centuries, that they would not fade or turn into different colors. He mixed colors, some in a seashell, some in a pottery piece. If he wanted, he could obtain an infinite number of colors. He didn't want to. Some were heartwarming, some were gloomy, but all of them were satisfied with vibrant and lasting colours. Of course, in the country of women who have never rubbed their eyes with snow, ice blue, rain gray, and snow white would not exist, but even the most difficult of colors, the one that swallows all colors other than itself and renders colorless, the eye-burning raw white, softened and became docile in his murals. It found its volume, yielded, and became a color among colors. Most of all, it looked beautiful under the dark blue sky flowing over a river of stars. Because the queen was always wearing a white dress under the starry sky. The sculptor completed everything with a superior sense of realism. The only scene among his depictions that is incompatible with this realism is the one on the stone ship, floating among the turbulent waves of the dark blue river, whose sinking or sailing cannot be determined from the only momentary mirror of time. He also had only one passenger. (From the Promotional Bulletin)
