Description

Turgish State Book Description Prof. Dr. In this study by Necati Demir, in order to place the subject on a historical basis, the pre-Köktürk ancestors of the Turgish people were first mentioned. Then, information was given about the "Köktürk State" and the "Western Köktürk State", and the topics "Tribes Forming the Turgish State", "Turgish State" and "Cultural Life in the Period of the Turgish State" were examined. Turgish, the people who formed the Western Köktürk State It is the name of one of the Onok tribes. We first encounter its name in Chinese sources in 651, as a tribe living around the Ili River. Over time, they established a state by subordinating the tribes with whom they spoke the same language. Therefore, they have been on the stage of history since 552, when the Köktürk State was founded. Since there are no records before this date, their activities are unknown. Writers of Chinese sources first saw them in the southwestern foothills of the Altai Mountains. Later, some of them migrated to the vicinity of Lake Ebinor and some to the vicinity of Beşbalık. The Turgish State is a Turkish state founded in 690 by the remnants of the Western Köktürk State in the Tanrı Mountains, Yedisu and Ili River Valley after the collapse of the Western Köktürk State. This state took the name Turgish because it was founded under the leadership of the Turgish tribe, which was on the Tölis (Tu-lu) wing of the Onoks. After the death of Su-lu Khagan in 738, it began to weaken due to internal conflicts, lost its unity and was divided into two: Black Turgish and Yellow Turgish. The Karluks, who lost the fight against the Uyghurs in the northeast, first took refuge in the homeland of the Turgish people, and then took the homeland of the Turgish people and completely destroyed the Turgish State in 766.
