History of the Relations between Turks, Germans and Slavs Book Description: The book in your hand is the text of the conference held by the Turkish Historian Yusuf Akçura in the Turkish Hearth, titled "Relations of the Turks, Germans and Slavs", written in old Turkish with Arabic letters, translated into today's Turkish. Yusuf Akçura gave his speech on October 19, 1914, and it was published as a book the same year. Yusuf Akçur was arrested by the British at the end of 1919 and after about a year of captivity, he went to Anatolia and participated in the War of Independence. He took over Istanbul from the invaders on behalf of the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
